Learning stars nurtures adults with a wide range of disabilities treating their students with dignity and respect whilst educating, inspiring and encouraging socialisation in a group of people that would otherwise stagnate in an area with limited facilities and events aimed at adults with additional needs. 

The members of Learning Stars have indeed created their own small community which has never been achieved before. Over the period of time they have also formed relationships with the gallery team. I feel that these workshops are invaluable to people with learning disabilities and enrich their lives while providing a programme of development.

They have been members of Learning Stars and WEA students for a long time. Their education and their learning are ongoing. David thoroughly enjoys his volunteering job which entails getting the classroom ready before students arrive, assisting less able students with their work, meeting and greeting any guests and dealing with logistics when out of venue, i.e. bus routes.

Faye developed real friendships and gained in confidence through the pleasure and fun of the sessions. Even when she was really unwell she asked to go the Art Group.
We can never thank you all enough for everything you did and gave to Faye, please can we keep in touch and we would like to be able to visit you soon to see how you are all doing.
