“Don’t Forget to Dance” are a group of people who believe anyone can dance. Dancing is a passion of ours and we love to get out into the community to perform, We are welcomed at local residential homes and residents are enthralled by our performances.
The work we develop aims to enhance the groups capabilities and provide them achievable challenges.
Members are instrumental in the direction of the class and believe in an inclusive approach in all that we do.
The group have recently been choreographing, discussing and storytelling using themselves as the stimulus. We are developing work based on personal memories and imagination in a Fairy-tale theme.
The sessions have provided a platform for our students to share some very personal stories and we’ve already shared a few tears along the way.
In all our sessions we aim to give our students a voice; a stage to move on; dance demonstration and technique; and above all a relaxed and fun environment to do it all in.
